Does the recipient see my number?
No. The message leaves from a shared gateway number: your personal number never appears. The form doesn't even ask you for it.

Do I need to create an account?
No, no sign-up. Enter the email, the recipient's number and your message, then confirm. Less sign-up also means less data about you.

Which numbers can I write to?
To all French mobiles starting with 06 or 07, whatever the carrier (Orange, SFR, Bouygues, Free…), always with your number hidden.

Why a countdown before sending?
A 60-second delay precedes the confirmation. It prevents accidental sends and curbs automated or abusive uses of the service.

Is anonymity total and without limit?
No. You are anonymous to the recipient, not to the justice system. Sends are logged (IP address included) and may be handed to the authorities upon request. Harassment, threats and unlawful messages are prohibited and traceable.

How many characters fit in an SMS?
160 characters. Accents and special characters may be converted to guarantee proper receipt on all mobiles.

Can I send SMS in bulk?
No. The service is reserved for personal and occasional use. Mass or automated sending is not allowed, in order to preserve the service and its legal framework.

Is sending really free?
Yes, sending to French mobiles on 06 and 07 is free, with no subscription or bank card. The service is funded independently to stay accessible.

Can I receive a reply to my anonymous SMS?
No. The message leaves from a shared gateway number and replies do not arrive on your phone. For an exchange, leave a way to reach you in your message.

Is the anonymous SMS legal?
Yes, as long as the use is legitimate and respectful. Hiding your number to protect your privacy is lawful; using it to harass, threaten or steal an identity is not.

Are my data and my message kept?
Only the information necessary for delivery is processed, and sends are logged (IP address included) to prevent abuse. Nothing is resold to third parties.

Is the message end-to-end encrypted?
No. Like any SMS, it is not end-to-end encrypted: avoid writing sensitive information in it (passwords, bank details).

Can I send to a landline or abroad?
No. The service only sends to French mobiles starting with 06 or 07.

What are the risks in the event of abusive use?
Abusive sends may lead to a block of the number or the IP address. Harassment, threats and unlawful messages are offenses, traceable and disclosable to the authorities upon judicial request.

Can I attach a photo (MMS)?
No. The service sends text only (160 characters), with no attachment or image.

How do I report an abusive SMS I received?
Forward it free of charge to 33700, the official number for reporting unwanted SMS in France.

Can I schedule the send in advance?
No. The send is not schedulable: the message leaves right after the confirmation. Send it at the moment you want.

Can the recipient block my messages?
Since messages leave from a shared gateway number, the recipient can block that number. Always respect a refusal to be contacted: persistence may amount to harassment.

How do I know if my SMS was received?
The gateway confirms acceptance of the message, not its display on the phone: there is no delivery receipt. The absence of an error does not guarantee it was read.
