Forwarding an abusive SMS to 33700
A free procedure, in two messages, from any French mobile line.
33700 is the French platform dedicated to reporting unsolicited messages and calls. It is free and reachable whatever your operator. Forwarding an SMS doesn't erase it from your device, but feeds the system that helps operators spot and then neutralise the lines behind the waves of fraud. On SMS Anonyme, our personal sends leave from a masked gateway number and have nothing to do with these campaigns.
The reporting procedure step by step

Forward the SMS to 33700
In your messaging app, select "forward" on the suspicious message and send it to 33700. The operation is free and doesn't eat into your plan.

Give the sender's number
The system automatically follows up to learn which line wrote to you. Copy that number exactly, with no space or extra prefix.

Don't open any link contained in the message
A link slipped into a fraudulent SMS almost always leads to a copy of a reputable site, designed to siphon off your credentials or your card data.

Add the number to your block list
Blocking doesn't depend on the report: it shields you right away, while the report tackles the origin of the campaign.
Including the STOP notice is required by law
In France, every advertising SMS must offer a simple, free way to decline further sends, most often via "STOP au 36111" or a keyword to return. Sending STOP must put an end to the solicitations. An advert that omits this notice is unlawful, and its sender must moreover have obtained your prior consent under the GDPR.
The scope framed by French law
- Advertising canvassing by SMS rests on the recipient's prior, free and informed consent.
- Every promotional message must include an immediate and free means of opting out, the famous STOP notice.
- The advertiser behind the message must remain clearly identifiable on reading it.
- Bloctel targets voice canvassing and leaves SMS aside: for the latter, the tool remains 33700.
