Nothing reached the recipient

As soon as the gateway accepts the message, it leaves our field of action. The reasons for a non-delivery are therefore almost all downstream, and some completely escape verification: it is better to know this before searching in vain.

The causes, from the most common to the rarest

   The number was well formed but wrong

   A correctly written but mis-noted number leaves without triggering an error: it simply reaches someone else. This is by far the most common explanation.

2. 2

   The mobile was switched off or out of network

   The carrier holds the message and then delivers it, most often within the hours following the phone's return to the network.

   The carrier filtered the routing

   Each carrier applies its own anti-spam filters to messages coming from gateways. A text can thus be stopped without either you or us being notified.

4. 4

   The recipient blocked the gateway number

   The masked number we use is shared among all senders. If it has been blocked on the recipient's mobile, your messages will not appear.

Steps to follow

   Go through the number digit by digit

   Check it against its original source rather than in the form, where a starting error will always reproduce itself identically.

   Wait a few hours

   A switched-off phone retrieves its held messages as soon as it restarts. Resending straight away only creates a duplicate.

   Invite the recipient to check their filters

   Some mobiles file messages from unknown numbers in a separate folder, where they easily escape notice.

   Use another channel if the urgency demands it

   Neither you nor we can force delivery. For a message that absolutely must arrive, a phone call remains more reliable.
