Smishing

The term merges SMS and phishing. The scenario hardly varies: a message takes on the identity of a bank, a courier, an administration or an operator, to push you to click a link or call a number back.

The clues always recur: fake urgency, clumsy phrasing, a slightly altered site address, a request for bank details or a code received by SMS. The right reflex is to never click and to check by going through the official site or app.
