The steps

Type in the recipient's number
A French mobile line on 06 or 07, ten digits long. You don't have to know its operator: routing happens automatically, and your own number is never requested.

Write your message
You get 160 characters. The counter under the field shows in real time how many you have left, and accents are converted by default to respect the limit.

Let the security delay run out
A 60-second countdown elapses before the confirmation opens. This buffer curbs automated sends and gives you time to reread your text.

Confirm the send
The button activates at the end of the countdown. Once pressed, the message reaches the gateway and usually arrives within seconds, from a hidden number.

•Check the number before confirming: a message once sent cannot be recalled.
